Exemption on ferrous scrap saving grace for stainless steel sector: JSL MD

In her budget speech, the finance minister proposed to continue the exemption from basic customs duty (BCD) on raw materials for manufacturing cold rolled grain oriented (CRGO) steel, ferrous scrap and nickel cathode to facilitate the availability of raw materials to the steel sector.
