Mahindra to pump Rs 4,500 cr for development of two new electric brands

Mahindra & Mahindra is investing Rs 4,500 crore to develop two new electric SUV brands, BE 6e and XEV 9e. Production capacity at their Chakan plant is set for 90,000 units annually, scalable to 1.2 lakh. Deliveries are slated to begin by early 2025, with entry-level prices starting at Rs 18.9 lakh and Rs 21.9 lakh respectively.
