Bharti Airtel prepaids Rs 5,985 crore to DoT, reduces spectrum debt and interest costs

Bharti Airtel and its unit Bharti Hexacom have prepaid Rs 5,985 crore to clear high-cost debt from the 2024 auctions. Additionally, Airtel's subsidiary Network i2i Ltd redeemed $1 billion in perpetual notes. These actions reduce Airtel's debt and interest costs to enhance their financial stability.
