British International Investment seeks CCI nod to acquire stake in ReNew Photovoltaics

British International Investment (BII) is seeking CCI's approval to acquire a stake in ReNew Photovoltaics, an Indian solar manufacturing firm. This investment aims to boost ReNew's manufacturing capacity, particularly through a new 4 GW TOPCon cell facility in Gujarat. The deal is expected to have no adverse impact on competition in India's solar energy sector.
