GAIL buys Oman LNG cargo, sources say

GAIL has secured an Omani liquefied natural gas cargo for delivery next week, paying between $17-$20 per million British thermal units. This purchase aims to bolster India's natural gas supply amidst disruptions from the Strait of Hormuz closure and force majeure from Qatar, its primary supplier. The country is currently reallocating gas from non-essential sectors to critical users.
